"A gorgeous basement epic" is what Western Vinyl says. I have to agree ; most of this sounds like a fall counterpart to the summery reverb of Pet Sounds. Dave recorded all of the instruments by himself save for a few odds and ends. Released as a Dave Longstreth album - what would later blossom into Dirty Projectors. I have to say, I have heard he is doing another solo album and find myself more excited about that than any new Dirty Projectors release.
